Do you ever stop and think, there are some things from the grocery store that are just better than homemade?

Groceries that are tastier,  a time saver, or cheaper than the homemade version.

Here are my favorite grocery store convenience items.

GROCERY STORE ITEMS THAT ARE BETTER THAN HOMEMADE:

PEANUT BUTTER - Throw the peanut butter maker away! You’re never going to make peanut butter, or any other nut butter, as smooth as what you would buy from the grocery store. In the song, Uptown Funk, Bruno Mars compares his smoothness to peanut butter, in the lyric,“Smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy.”

HEINZ KETCHUP - I always say, “I wish I would have invented Heinz Ketchup.” Not Del Monte or Great Value. I don’t want gourmet ketchup, made at a fancy restaurant either. I only want Heinz Ketchup, and I’m not making it at home.

HIDDEN VALLEY RANCH SALAD DRESSING - There’s nothing better than Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing. Other brands don’t compare. You’re knock off recipe, using fresh herbs and spices does not taste the same, liar! For those who prefer to make their own ranch dressing, use Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix!

FROZEN FRENCH FRIES - The steps involved to make French Fries are not worth it. You have to wash and peel the potatoes. Then, slice the potatoes. If you want waffle fries, you have to purchase a waffle cutter. You have to partially cook the fries. You have to fry the fries and a low temp, let them cool, then fry at a higher temp. There’s too much involved! Still, they’re never going to be as good as frozen french fries.

CROISSANTS - Croissants are everywhere! Why spend the time, effort, and money, to make croissants when you can pick up a box at Costco, that averages a little over 50 cents each?! They are perfectly crispy, and even when they aren’t, just heat them in the air fryer. I’m not spending 2 days laminating dough to make a 50 cent croissant, and this goes the same for Phyllo Dough!

What are grocery items YOU would never make at home? I would like to know. Tell me, in the comments.
